Responsibilities Perform a wide range of nail services including manicures, pedicures, gel nails, acrylics, and nail art with precision and creativity. Lead by example in delivering outstanding customer service, ensuring clients leave satisfied and eager to return. Maintain strict sanitation standards for all tools, equipment, and workstations to promote a safe and hygienic environment. Assist in managing daily salon operations, including appointment scheduling, retail sales, inventory management, and client consultations. Provide mentorship and training to junior technicians on techniques such as nail care, color theory application, and new trends. Support the salon manager in upselling retail products like nail care items, skincare products, and hair extensions to enhance client satisfaction and revenue. Stay current with industry trends such as eyelash extensions, dermabrasion treatments, body waxing, hair styling, hair threading, esthetic laser treatments, and barbering techniques to offer comprehensive services. Experience Proven experience as a professional nail technician with a strong portfolio showcasing diverse skills in nail care and design. Prior leadership or supervisory experience within a salon or spa environment is preferred but not required; a passion for learning to grow into a manger and mentoring others is essential. Knowledge of sanitation protocols and best practices for maintaining a clean working environment. Familiarity with retail sales strategies including upselling techniques and retail math to maximize revenue opportunities. Strong communication skills with the ability to connect with clients confidently while explaining treatments clearly. Basic understanding of cosmetology principles related to hair extensions, hair styling, eyelash extensions, and body waxing is advantageous. Ability to adapt quickly to new techniques such as dermabrasion or esthetic laser treatments while maintaining high-quality standards.
