Job Description
Mellow Bar is a wellness-focused nail salon in Manhattan specializing in Japanese gel and natural nail care. With two carefully curated locations, we are dedicated to providing an exceptional client experience while creating a positive, supportive environment where our team can thrive and grow. We are seeking an organized, dependable, and motivated Assistant Manager to support daily salon operations and help maintain the elevated standards that define the Mellow Bar experience. Responsibilities Partner with the General Manager to ensure day-to-day operations run efficiently Deliver exceptional client service both on the salon floor and, when needed, at the front desk Oversee inventory management, including ordering, restocking, and maintaining supply organization Assist with recruiting, onboarding, training, and scheduling team members Support employee growth and contribute to a positive, team-oriented workplace culture Process transactions accurately and follow established cash-handling procedures Help uphold a professional, welcoming atmosphere that reflects Mellow Bar's values and service standards Qualifications 2+ years of experience in the beauty, wellness, hospitality, or service industry preferred Excellent organizational skills with strong attention to detail Effective communication skills and a proactive approach to problem-solving Ability to prioritize tasks and perform well in a dynamic, fast-paced environment Reliable, professional, and accountable in day-to-day responsibilities Ability to handle confidential information with discretion Availability to work a flexible schedule, including weekends Perks & Benefits Competitive compensation with quarterly performance bonus opportunities Health insurance benefits Paid time off Complimentary monthly manicure Employee discounts on services and retail products Opportunities for professional development and career advancement Nail technician license sponsorship program If you enjoy leading by example, supporting a strong team culture, and creating memorable client experiences, we encourage you to apply.
