Job Description
Overview:
We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Salon Assistant to join our team. As a Salon Assistant, you will provide support to our salon professionals and ensure a positive experience for our clients. This is a great opportunity to gain hands-on experience in the beauty industry and develop your skills in a fast-paced salon environment.Responsibilities:
- Sanitize workstations and equipment to maintain a clean and safe salon environment
- Assist salon professionals with various tasks, such as shampooing, conditioning, and applying hair treatments
- Communicate with clients to ensure their needs are met and provide exceptional customer service (Offer drinks, snacks, hang up coats, etc.)
- Support store management in maintaining inventory and organizing salon supplies
- Assist with retail sales by recommending products and providing product knowledge to clients
- Learn and assist with various salon services, color/gloss application, blow-drying, etc.
- Upkeep overall salon cleanliness (Laundry, sweeping, color utensil cleaning, etc.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in a salon or customer service role is preferred but not required
- Strong communication skills with the ability to effectively interact with clients and team members
- Passion for the beauty industry and eagerness to learn new techniques and trends
- Ability to multitask, prioritize appropriately, and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Flexibility to work week days, evenings, weekends
