Responsibilities Perform alterations on a variety of garments, including hemming, taking in or letting out seams, and resizing clothing to meet customer specifications Use sewing machines efficiently to execute precise stitches and garment adjustments Consult with customers to understand their alteration needs and provide expert recommendations Ensure all alterations meet quality standards, paying close attention to detail and finishing touches Maintain a clean and organized workspace, managing sewing tools and materials responsibly Keep accurate records of work orders, measurements, and alterations performed for each customer Collaborate with team members to ensure timely completion of all alteration requests Qualifications Proven experience in sewing, garment construction, or alterations within a fashion retail environment Proficiency with sewing machines and various sewing techniques required for different fabrics and garments Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate clearly and professionally Basic math skills for taking measurements, calculating fabric needs, and adjusting patterns accurately Knowledge of fashion retail operations and garment fitting standards is preferred Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining high-quality workmanship A passion for fashion, tailoring, and helping customers look their best Join us as an Alterations Tailor and become a vital part of a team dedicated to enhancing style through expert craftsmanship.
