In this vital role, you will oversee the entire sewing team, ensuring the highest standards of craftsmanship, quality, and efficiency. Your expertise in fashion retail, customer service, and sewing techniques will drive the creation of exceptional garments that meet our brand's standards and customer expectations. As a leader, you will inspire a team of talented seamstresses, coordinate production workflows, and uphold best practices in sewing and garment assembly. Responsibilities Lead and supervise the seamstress team to ensure timely and accurate garment production while maintaining superior quality standards Oversee all aspects of garment construction, including pattern reading, cutting, sewing, fitting, and finishing processes Train and mentor team members on sewing machine operation, sewing techniques, and safety protocols Perform daily fitting for work coming in and for pick ups as well Monitor inventory levels of fabrics, notions, and tools; coordinate procurement as needed Conduct quality control checks on alterations that have been completed. Perform Bridal fitting Implement efficient workflows to optimize productivity while adhering to safety guidelines and industry standards Experience Proven experience in fashion retail or apparel manufacturing with a strong background in garment construction and sewing techniques Demonstrated leadership skills with experience managing a team of seamstresses or similar roles Proficiency in operating various sewing machines and familiarity with different fabrics and materials Strong understanding of garment fitting, pattern adjustments, and finishing details Excellent customer service skills to address internal requests or client specifications when necessary Basic math skills for measurements, pattern calculations, and inventory management Join us as a Head Seamstress to shape the future of fashion retail by crafting high-quality garments with precision and passion.
