Job Summary Join our dynamic team as a Tailor, where your craftsmanship and eye for detail will transform garments into perfect fits! In this vital role, you will be responsible for customizing clothing to meet customer specifications, ensuring high-quality garment construction, and delivering exceptional customer service. Your expertise in sewing and garment fitting will help customers look and feel their best, making every piece uniquely theirs. This position offers an exciting opportunity to combine technical skills with creative flair in a fast-paced fashion retail environment. Duties Measure customers accurately to determine tailoring needs and ensure proper fit Use sewing machines and hand-sewing techniques to alter, repair, or construct garments with precision Adjust clothing sizes by taking in or letting out seams, hems, and waistbands as required Consult with customers to understand their preferences and provide expert advice on garment modifications Maintain a clean and organized workspace, ensuring all tools and equipment are in excellent condition Follow safety protocols when operating sewing machines and other equipment Assist in selecting fabrics and materials for custom orders when needed Qualifications Proven experience in sewing, garment construction, or tailoring within a fashion retail setting Proficiency with sewing machines and hand-sewing techniques Strong understanding of garment fitting, fabric types, and sewing patterns Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate clearly and professionally Basic math skills for taking measurements and calculating adjustments Knowledge of fashion retail operations is a plus but not required Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail Embark on a rewarding career where your tailoring talents help customers feel confident and stylish!
