The ideal candidate has experience working with wedding gowns and formalwear, understands delicate fabrics and intricate construction, and is passionate about helping brides look and feel their absolute best on their special day. Key Responsibilities Perform professional alterations on bridal gowns, bridesmaid dresses, and formalwear Execute fittings with brides, ensuring exceptional customer service and a comfortable experience Pin, mark, and alter garments for proper fit, including hems, bustle creation, bodice adjustments, strap modifications, and custom tailoring Work with delicate fabrics such as lace, silk, chiffon, tulle, beading, and appliqué Maintain garment integrity and original design details Meet alteration deadlines in alignment with wedding dates Provide recommendations for fit, structure, and support solutions Maintain a clean, organized, and professional workspace Qualifications Advanced knowledge of garment construction and pattern adjustments Experience working with structured bodices, corsetry, and bustle techniques Ability to hand-sew intricate details and manage delicate embellishments Strong attention to detail and precision Excellent customer service and communication skills Ability to manage multiple gowns and deadlines simultaneously Preferred Skills Ability to perform custom modifications or redesigns Familiarity with various bustle styles and support structures Work Environment Flexible hours, including evenings and weekends during peak wedding season Fast-paced, client-focused setting
