Alterations Specialist | New York Lace Couture - Massachusetts Do you have a passion for precision, a love of luxury garments, and the skills to make a bride's gown fit like it was made just for her? New York Lace Couture — the leading bridal boutique in Massachusetts and a trusted name in bridal fashion since 1917 — is looking for a talented Alterations Specialist to join our team! At New York Lace Couture, we're devoted to delivering an unparalleled experience for every client from their very first visit all the way to their special day. Our alterations team is a vital part of making that promise a reality.
What You'll Do:
Perform expert fittings and alterations on bridal, mother's, bridesmaid's, and social occasion gowns Steam, press, and spot clean garments to the highest quality standards Inspect all altered and finished garments to ensure pristine condition before final delivery Provide exceptional, friendly customer service and respond promptly to client questions Keep the alterations room clean, organized, and running efficiently
What We're Looking For:
At least 21 years of age 3+ years of sewing experience with luxury garments Gown and dress fitting experience required Proficiency with a sewing machine, steam iron, scissors, and seam ripper Ability to stand and/or sit for 7-10 hours Prior experience in a bridal or special occasion alterations environment strongly preferred A customer-first attitude and strong communication skills Why New York Lace Couture?
