In this role, you will be the expert responsible for customizing and perfecting garments to meet our customers' unique needs. Your craftsmanship will ensure every piece fits flawlessly, enhancing our customers' confidence and style. This position offers an exciting opportunity to combine technical sewing skills with exceptional customer service, creating a memorable shopping experience for every client. Duties Measure customers accurately to determine alterations needed, ensuring a perfect fit. Use sewing machines and hand-sewing techniques to modify garments according to specifications. Perform garment construction tasks such as hemming, taking in or letting out seams, and resizing clothing. Communicate clearly with customers to understand their preferences and explain alteration options. Maintain a clean, organized workspace and keep track of all garments in process. Ensure quality control by inspecting finished products for precision and durability. Assist with inventory management of sewing supplies and tools necessary for alterations. Qualifications Proven experience in sewing, garment construction, or tailoring within a fashion retail environment. Proficiency with sewing machines and hand-sewing techniques essential for precise alterations. Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate clearly and professionally. Basic math skills for taking measurements, calculating fabric needs, and adjusting patterns. Knowledge of fashion retail operations and garment fitting standards is highly desirable.
