Commercial Seamstress

Job Overview James Island awning company is seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Seamstress to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in sewing and the ability to learn how to fabricate high-quality awnings. This role requires proficiency in operating sewing machines and a keen eye for detail to ensure that all products meet our quality standards. We are willing to train someone to fabricate awnings if you have sewing experience. Duties Fabricate awnings, repairs, clear curtain enclosures, and shail shades. Operate various sewing machines to sew canvas awnings together efficiently. Fabricate and assemble components of the canvas awnings, ensuring precision in every stitch. Inspect finished products for quality assurance, making necessary adjustments as needed. Maintain an organized and clean workspace within the shop environment to promote efficiency. Collaborate with team members to meet production deadlines while maintaining high-quality standards. Experience Proven experience in sewing techniques is essential. Familiarity with operating industrial sewing machines is desired. Strong attention to detail, focus on project, and the ability to work independently or as part of a team. Excellent time management skills to handle multiple tasks effectively while meeting deadlines.
