LEAD WORKROOM SEAMSTRESS
Job Summary Jean's Custom Workroom is seeking an experienced Lead Workroom Seamstress to oversee and execute the fabrication of high-end custom soft furnishings. This position requires extensive experience creating custom drapery, roman shades, bedding, cushions, slipcovers, and decorative pillows. The ideal candidate is highly skilled, detail-oriented, and capable of training and supporting other seamstresses while maintaining the highest quality standards. Responsibilities Fabricate custom draperies, roman shades, and/or other soft furnishings Interpret work orders, measurements, and fabrication specifications Ensure quality control and accuracy of finished products Train and assist workroom staff as needed Problem-solve fabrication challenges and recommend solutions Maintain an organized and efficient work area Qualifications 10+ years of sewing/workroom experience preferred Extensive knowledge of custom window treatments and soft furnishings Ability to operate industrial sewing equipment Strong attention to detail and craftsmanship Ability to work with other seamstresses and manage multiple projects
