The ideal candidate has strong technical sewing skills, attention to detail, and experience working with delicate fabrics, intricate beadwork, lace, and custom gown fittings. This role requires excellent customer service skills and the ability to help brides feel confident and comfortable throughout the alterations process. Responsibilities Perform bridal gown alterations, including hemming, bustle creation, resizing, strap adjustments, corset work, and sleeve modifications Work with delicate fabrics such as lace, satin, tulle, chiffon, organza, and silk Handle beadwork, appliqués, hand sewing, and detailed finishing work Conduct fittings with brides and communicate alteration recommendations clearly and professionally Maintain alteration schedules and meet deadlines during busy wedding seasons Ensure garments are finished to high-quality standards Assist with pressing, steaming, and final preparation of gowns Collaborate with bridal consultants and other team members to ensure excellent customer experience Ability to manage multiple fittings and deadlines during peak bridal season Qualifications Strong knowledge of garment construction and formalwear fitting techniques Experience working with wedding gowns and formal dresses Ability to perform both machine and hand sewing at a high level Detail-oriented with strong organizational and time-management skills Friendly, professional, and customer-focused demeanor Ability to stand for extended periods and lift/move gowns as needed Preferred Skills Experience with custom gown design or reconstruction Familiarity with industrial sewing machines and pressing equipment
