Alterations Fitter Ahem Alterations LLC Dallas, TX Job Details Part-time | Full-time $20 - $30 an hour 14 hours ago Qualifications Customer communication Customer service Basic math Attention to detail Garment construction Full Job Description Job Overview We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Alterations Fitter to join our team! This role is a great fit for anyone who loves working with people and has a very good understanding of garment construction. You will be responsible for providing excellent customer service and expert garment fitting services to our clients. Your keen eye for detail, sewing knowledge, and customer service mindset will help elevate the alterations & tailoring experience and uphold our commitment to quality. Saturday availability is needed for this position. Learn more about our company on our website! www.ahem-alterations.com Responsibilities Measure customers accurately and assess alteration needs based on garment construction and fit requirements Pin clothing precisely to ensure our tailors & seamstresses are sewing alterations accurately. Ensure all alterations meet high-quality standards while maintaining the integrity of the original garment design Communicate clearly with customers to understand their expectations, provide expert advice on fitting options, and explain what the finished result of the alteration would look like. Provide detailed notes and before/after photos of garments pinned for our tailors & seamstresses to refer to during the sewing process. Maintain a clean, organized workspace with fitting stations stocked with pins, tape measures, rulers, etc. Skills Proven education and/or experience in garment construction, sewing, and alterations. Basic math skills for measurements and adjustments Strong understanding of clothing fit, fabric types, and garment finishing techniques Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate clearly and professionally Ability to work independently while managing multiple tasks effectively Comfortable using a phone/tablet & invoicing system. Proficiency with industrial sewing machines and hand-sewing techniques is preferred, but not required.
Pay:
