Description:

Operates within a crew to clean, repair, and maintain the carpets, upholstery, and drapes at all Chumash Enterprise properties. Responsibilities Completes assigned tasks in a timely and precise manner. Preps carpet, carpet machinery, and related chemicals and equipment for cleaning. Cleans carpets in assigned area using carpet extractor machinery to remove all dirt, stains, chewing gum, etc. Operates, maintains, and repairs carpet extractor machinery, vacuum cleaners, and other cleaning equipment. Cleans upholstery with upholstery cleaning machine, inspects spots to determine composition and proper cleaning method. Transports furniture and chairs to Upholstery Room for maintenance and repair. Uses cleaning agents properly and as directed. Operates carpet and upholstery equipment in a safe manner and in accordance with department standards. Protects Team Members and casino guests from the work area during cleaning process by properly clearing and designating the area i.e., removing furniture, setting up appropriate barricades etc. Coordinates the closing of areas for cleaning and repairs with Casino Operations. Notifies a supervisor when any unsafe, unsanitary, or defective condition is detected. Chumash. Performs other duties as assigned. Qualifications High School Diploma or GED Certificate. Two years of prior upholstery and carpet cleaning experience or completion of ISSA Custodial Technician course preferred. Must be capable of operating cleaning machines and equipment. Must possess basic mechanical knowledge and ability. Basic computer proficiency utilizing Microsoft applications, e-mail, and internet. Willingness to work flexible schedules in a 24/7 work environment, including holidays, nights, and weekends. Native American hiring preference applies.
