Job Description

Job Summary

Pilatus is hiring an Upholstery and Trim Technician to join the team in Broomfield, CO. In this role, you will perform fabrication of aircraft interior components such as headliners, sidewalls, armrests and carpets. Under limited supervision, fabricates, assembles, sews, and prepares aircraft interior components in accordance with all technical data and unique customer specifications. Performs material inspections, handling, cutting, and application according to approved process specifications and

Requirements

Skills/Qualifications

Performs incoming inspections of materials including fabric, foam, leather, ultra-leather, and vinyl

Measures, marks, and cuts materials to drawings and work instructions

Bonds materials using various processes and adhesives

Applies and finish wraps materials to composite and kydex interior panels

Sews leather and other finish materials prior to application

Maintains labor tracking and job card/task signoffs within ERP/MRP system

Follows safety policies and uses required personal protective equipment in accordance with company and government regulations and guidelines

Other Duties/Responsibilities

Works with Leads and higher skilled technicians to develop and refine skills and techniques

Performs all assigned tasks in accordance with Pilatus quality standards

Fabricates aircraft carpet using cutting, binding, and sewing machines

Maintains a clean, safe, and healthy work area

Assists coworkers and other departments to successfully perform job tasks when needed

Performs other related duties as assigned by Lead or Manager

Skills/Qualifications

High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required. Two (2) years related trade school or vocational degree preferred

Demonstrated craftsman-level abilities and quality, and a minimum of two (2) years related experience or equivalent combination of education and experience

Ability to use hand tools, adhesive spray gun, industrial sewing machine, and/or other specialized equipment

Ability to use measuring tools and perform basic math computations

Ability to read, understand, and adhere to engineering drawings, tech specs, and other relevant documents

Eye for precision and attention to details

Able work in restricted spaces, and lift up to 40 pounds

Regular, reliable attendance required, and willingness to work overtime and other shifts as needed

Proficiency in general computer use and MS Office software, including Outlook, Word, and Excel

Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand English

The salary range for this position is $22.93 - $30.77 per hour depending on experience. Salary to be determined by the education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant, internal equity, and alignment with market data
