In this role, you will bring comfort and style to furniture pieces by expertly applying upholstery techniques, ensuring each item meets our high standards of quality and craftsmanship. Your creativity, precision, and hands-on skills will help transform raw materials into beautifully finished furniture that delights customers and elevates living spaces. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to develop your expertise in upholstery, sewing, and furniture assembly within a vibrant, fast-paced environment. Duties Measure and cut fabric, leather, or other upholstery materials using hand tools and sewing machines to fit specific furniture pieces Remove old upholstery from furniture frames with specialized tools, preparing surfaces for new coverings Sew durable seams and attach padding or foam using sewing machines and hand stitching techniques to ensure long-lasting comfort Assemble furniture components, including springs, and cushions, utilizing power tools and manual assembly methods Apply upholstery fabric or material smoothly over furniture surfaces, securing with staples, tacks, or adhesives for a flawless finish Conduct quality checks throughout the process to ensure upholstery is tight, even, and securely attached Maintain a clean workspace by organizing tools and materials efficiently for optimal productivity and safety Qualifications Proven experience with hand tools, power tools, sewing machines, and sewing techniques in upholstery or manufacturing environments Knowledge of furniture assembly processes and auto restoration techniques is a plus Ability to interpret measurements accurately and work with detailed instructions to achieve precise results Strong attention to detail with a focus on quality craftsmanship Physical stamina to lift heavy furniture parts and stand for extended periods during the upholstery process Excellent problem-solving skills to troubleshoot issues with materials or assembly steps Prior experience in manufacturing or related trades is preferred but not required; training will be provided for motivated learners Join us as a Furniture Upholsterer and turn your craftsmanship into beautiful finished products that bring comfort and style into homes.
