We are seeking a detail-oriented Upholstery Tacker to join our Sarasota team and contribute to the artistry and excellence that define our brand. Position Summary As an Upholstery Tacker, you will play a hands-on role in the production process, performing essential tacking functions that bring our luxury boat interiors to life. Working under the direction of the Upholstery Supervisor, you will support production efficiency while maintaining our high standards of quality and workmanship. What You'll Do Read and interpret work instructions and production travelers Perform basic upholstery tacking on boat components Operate and maintain tools such as staple guns, foam knives, heat guns, glue pots, and band saws Learn boat part identification, materials (vinyl, thread), and production processes Assist with foaming and assembly of upholstery components Ensure proper alignment, seam placement, and compression standards Identify and repair minor tacking defects found during quality checks Meet daily production goals while maintaining quality expectations Cross-train in other areas and contribute to a team-first environment What You Bring High school diploma or GED preferred Strong attention to detail and ability to work in a fast-paced production environment Manual dexterity and comfort working with hand tools Basic math and measurement skills Ability to work independently and as part of a team Reliable attendance and a positive, can-do attitude Work Environment & Physical Requirements Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform physical tasks such as bending, kneeling, reaching, and standing for extended periods Work may involve various positions (standing, seated, kneeling, or laying down) Exposure to manufacturing conditions including heat, dust, fumes, and outside elements Work with materials such as adhesives, fiberglass, and cleaning agents Safety Commitment At Chris-Craft, safety is a core value.
