This role builds the most complex and visible pieces in our shop—custom millwork that requires precision, judgment, and the ability to execute without a step-by-step playbook. You will take detailed shop drawings and turn them into finished products that meet both quality and timeline expectations. Your work will often be the first thing a client sees. What This Role Isn't Not repetitive production work Not a role for someone who needs constant direction Not a place to prioritize quality at the expense of production pace Both matter here. You are expected to deliver high-quality work at a professional, consistent pace . What You'll OwnExecution of Specialty Work Build custom, non-standard millwork: Reception desks Display cases Wall features Unique assemblies Work from shop drawings and execute accurately Quality of Craft Produce clean, precise, professional-grade work Ensure fit, finish, and assembly meet standards Catch and correct issues before they move downstream Production Pace Maintain a consistent, professional build speed Balance quality with throughput Deliver work on schedule—not just eventually Problem Solving Work through complex or unclear conditions Make adjustments without constant supervision Identify issues early and communicate clearly Ownership of Work Take responsibility for what you build Deliver finished pieces ready for install Minimize rework and callbacks What You'll Do Day-to-Day Review drawings and plan your approach Fabricate and assemble custom millwork Work independently on complex pieces Coordinate with production and engineering as needed Maintain a clean, organized workspace Deliver completed work that meets both quality and schedule expectations What We're Looking For Strong woodworking and millwork experience Ability to build complex, non-standard pieces High attention to detail Able to work independently and stay productive Willing to improve and operate at a high level Preferred Backgrounds Architectural millwork Custom cabinetry High-end residential or commercial woodworking What You'll Get The opportunity to work on complex, custom projects A role where your craftsmanship is visible and matters Clear expectations and a performance-driven environment Opportunity to grow into higher levels of responsibility over time Who This Is For Someone who enjoys solving problems, not just following steps Someone who takes ownership of their work from start to finish Someone who values both quality and efficiency Someone who wants to grow into a higher-level builder over time Who This Is Not For Someone who needs constant direction or supervision Someone who struggles to maintain consistent output Someone who cannot balance quality with efficient production Someone looking for basic or repetitive production work About Us Cabinetry & Millwork Concepts builds commercial cabinetry and architectural millwork for healthcare, financial, and educational environments.
