School of Architecture Work Location Lexington, KY Salary Range $15.00 Type of Position Student Position Time Status Part-Time Required Education Must be enrolled in the School of Architecture or Product Design. Required Related Experience Familiarity or experience with using various Fab Lab and wood shop equipment (CNC, table saw, band saw, miter saw, FabLight etc.). Must be comfortable with lifting heavy objects. Experience with model-making. A resume, cover letter, and portfolio must be included with your application. Required License/Registration/Certification N/A Physical Requirements Sitting or standing for long periods, lifting up to 50 pounds. Shift 10 to 20 hours/week, shift varies Job Summary Collaborate with faculty on Schematic Design and Design Development. Build scale study models and develop custom millwork and connection details. Prototype components at 1:1 scale and test constructability. Assist with material sourcing and documentation. Participate in fabrication, assembly, and on-site installation. Contribute to project documentation (drawings, models, photos) and post-occupancy evaluation.

Experience with model-making. Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
