Job Description

Position Summary The Frame Builder is responsible for constructing and assembling wooden furniture frames according to engineering specifications, blueprints, and quality standards. This role requires the safe operation of hand tools, power tools, pneumatic equipment, and woodworking machinery to produce durable, accurately built furniture frames for upholstered furniture products. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Assemble furniture frames using wood, plywood, engineered wood products, and other materials. Read and interpret blueprints, work orders, assembly diagrams, and production specifications. Measure, cut, fit, drill, and fasten materials to required dimensions and tolerances. Operate hand tools, power tools, staple guns, pneumatic tools, clamps, and woodworking equipment safely and effectively. Inspect components and finished frames for quality, accuracy, and structural integrity. Ensure all products meet company quality standards and production requirements. Identify and report material defects, equipment issues, or production concerns. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area following company safety procedures. Meet daily production goals while maintaining quality standards. Assist with material handling, inventory control, and workstation setup as needed. Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to increase efficiency and reduce waste. Required Qualifications High school diploma or GED preferred. Previous experience in furniture manufacturing, woodworking, cabinet making, carpentry, or frame assembly preferred. Ability to read tape measures accurately and perform basic mathematical calculations. Experience using hand tools, pneumatic tools, and power equipment. Ability to follow written and verbal instructions. Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship. Reliable attendance and punctuality. Physical Requirements Ability to stand, walk, bend, twist, and reach for extended periods. Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull up to 50 pounds regularly. Manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination required. Ability to work in a manufacturing environment with exposure to noise, dust, and varying temperatures. Ability to wear required personal protective equipment (PPE).

• Must follow all safety procedures and guidelines, including the proper use of PPE, safe material handling practices, machine guarding requirements, lockout/tagout procedures where applicable, and maintaining awareness of workplace hazards to prevent injury to self and others.
