Non-Exempt SUMMARY Under the general direction of the Upholstery Supervisor, the upholsterer is primarily responsible for building a piece of furniture from the frame to the finished piece. Upholsterers need to utilize the best production methods and produce the best quality products possible.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
Upholster furniture to conform smoothly around furniture frame Secure and fit material onto frames using staples and other tools in a piecework environment.
KNOWLEDGE SKILLS & ABILITIES
Must have experience in the furniture industry Must have knowledge of fabrics and upholstery methods Attention to details Ability to work independently Experience inspecting structures and material to identify errors or defects Adhere to our safety policy on PPE at all times
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
2+ years of upholstery experience
