Position Description You will serve as an
UPHOLSTERER
in the
FACILITY & INFRASTRUCTURE MANAGEMENT DEPARTMENT
of
FLTREADCEN EAST.
Position Duties/Responsibilities You will make bumper pads, wrapping felt around aircraft parts and covering it with art leather, plastic, and/or cloth, stitching by hand or sewing with power machine. You will use the sewing machine and other shop equipment to manufacture and/or repair a variety of items in small as well as large quantities, such as control booth covers and all-around aircraft dust covers, web type hoisting slings, etc. You will Installs service changes, modification, and Local Engineering Specifications (L.E.S.'s) in aircraft, and helicopter soundproofing. You will measure, cut, sew, and glue panels to fit sections of aircraft interiors. You will occasionally upholster seats, large and small items of office furniture. You will create patterns/templates that will be used by themselves or others to mass produce quantities of product. Minimum Salary 30.72 Maximum Salary 35.85
