Job Description
About Designmaster Designmaster builds custom, made-to-order upholstered furniture for the residential and contract markets. Every piece is built to order in our North Carolina shop, and our reputation is built on craftsmanship and attention to detail. We're looking for skilled hands who take pride in the work that leaves their station. The Role We're hiring an experienced Inside Upholsterer to build the comfort and finished look of our furniture. You'll take frames through padding, cushioning, and cover work — turning cutting tickets and patterns into pieces that meet our quality standards. What We're Looking For Hands-on upholstery experience (furniture upholstery experience required) Ability to read and follow work orders, cutting tickets, and patterns Comfortable working with both fabric and leather Strong attention to detail and genuine pride in craftsmanship Reliable, team-oriented, and dependable on schedule Nice to Have Experience with high-end, custom, or contract upholstered furniture Experience handling premium leather Physical Requirements Able to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs Comfortable with repetitive hand and arm motions Safe operation of pneumatic staple guns and hand tools
