Job Description

Overview Join our dynamic team as a Furniture Upholsterer and Drapery Sewer, where your craftsmanship transforms raw materials into beautifully finished pieces that enhance homes and commercial spaces. In this role, you will be responsible for upholstering furniture with precision and sewing elegant drapery treatments that meet high-quality standards. Your skills will help bring comfort, style, and sophistication to every project, making a lasting impact on our clients' environments. This is an exciting opportunity for individuals passionate about manufacturing, sewing, and creating custom furnishings with attention to detail and a flair for design. Duties Use hand tools, power tools, and sewing machines to upholster furniture frames with foam, batting, fabric, or leather. Sew drapery panels, curtains, valances, and other window treatments with accuracy and finesse using industrial sewing machines. Measure, cut, and assemble fabric or upholstery materials according to project specifications. Prepare furniture pieces by removing old upholstery and repairing or reinforcing frames as needed. Maintain a clean and organized workspace to ensure safety and efficiency during manufacturing processes. Inspect finished products for quality assurance, ensuring all seams are secure and upholstery is smooth without wrinkles or defects. Qualifications Experience working with hand tools, power tools, sewing machines, and upholstery equipment in a manufacturing or custom upholstery setting. Strong sewing skills with the ability to operate industrial sewing machines confidently. Knowledge of upholstery techniques including padding, fabric stretching, stapling, and finishing details. . Ability to interpret measurements accurately and follow detailed project instructions. Excellent attention to detail to ensure high-quality finishes on all products.
