Role Responsibilities As a Hand Solder you will be responsible for soldering printed circuit boards, producing high quality work products, process improvement and more! The Hand Solder position is part of the Production Team. This is a full-time, non-exempt position, located in our Mentor, Ohio office. This position will require a broad range of responsibilities to ensure success. Including, but not limited to these functionalities: Responsible for the soldering of printed circuit boards and assemblies to IPC standards. Identify good and bad solder connections based on industry quality standards of IPC or equivalent. Solder and touch-up of through-hole components. Rework of through-hole components once qualified. Solder and rework of surface mount components on printed circuit boards once qualified. Produce quality workmanship consistent with IPC or equivalent standards. Pass IPC certification for CIS. Read and interpret assembly drawings, schematics, bills of materials (BOMs), and work instructions. Assist in the development and improvement of work instructions. Perform other duties as assigned.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
Education :
High School/GED diploma required.
Experience :
Minimum of 1 year of electronic soldering experience or successful completion of a solder training. o IPC-A-610 or
J-STD-001
certification preferred. o Manual dexterity and use hand tools. o Occasional lifting of up to 30 pounds. o Prolonged use of stereo microscopes to perform detailed tasks. o Willing to travel for training
Soft Skills :
Strong problem-solving and analytical skills. Excellent communication and leadership abilities. Experience in project management and process improvement. Systems Used Microsoft Suite (Outlook, Word, PPT, Excel)
CSI UKG Work Environment:
Fast-paced, high-tech manufacturing environment. Requires working closely with production and engineering teams on-site. Occasional travel may be required to supplier or customer sites. Compensation and Benefits The compensation range for this role is $20.00
