Job Description:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and reliable Presser to join our dry cleaning team. The Presser is responsible for finishing garments and linens to a high standard using professional pressing equipment, ensuring all items meet customer expectations for appearance and quality.

Key Responsibilities:

Press and finish garments, including shirts, pants, dresses, suits, coats, and specialty items, using steam presses, irons, and related equipment Inspect each item for stains, damage, or missed spots before and after pressing Maintain a high level of quality and consistency in all finished items Sort, hang, and tag garments as needed Follow garment care labels and special instructions to avoid damage Perform routine maintenance and cleaning of pressing equipment Maintain a clean and organized work area Communicate any issues with garments or machinery to the manager promptly Assist with folding and packaging finished garments when needed Comply with all safety and sanitation guidelines Optional Responsibilities depending on candidate skills: Operate dry cleaning and laundry machines, following proper procedures and safety guidelines Perform minor garment repairs and alterations as needed

Qualifications:

Prior experience as a presser or in a dry cleaning/laundry setting preferred (will train the right candidate) Attention to detail and a commitment to quality Ability to stand for extended periods and work in a warm environment Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently Good hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity Ability to lift up to 25 lbs and handle repetitive motion tasks
