Job Summary AHM Furniture Service is a growing, family-owned furniture service company specializing in commercial furniture repair, restoration, upholstery, and refinishing for the restaurant and hospitality industry (Reparación, restauración, tapicería y renovación de muebles comerciales para la industria de restaurantes y hotelería) . We are looking for experienced Commercial Upholsterers to join our team in Houston. We are looking for skilled craftspeople who take pride in quality workmanship, pay attention to detail, and understand the importance of completing work correctly and efficiently. Responsibilities Reupholster and repair commercial restaurant and hospitality furniture Work with vinyl, leather, fabric, foam, Dacron, and other upholstery materials Disassemble and reassemble furniture as needed Upholster booth seating, chairs, bar stools, benches, and other commercial furniture Perform pattern layout, cutting, sewing, stapling, and installation Replace foam and other upholstery components Inspect completed work to ensure professional quality and proper fit Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area Work independently and as part of a team Occasionally travel to customer locations for installations and repairs Skills Previous professional upholstery experience required Commercial upholstery experience strongly preferred Experience with restaurant, hospitality, or contract furniture is a plus Strong knowledge of upholstery techniques, tools, and materials Ability to produce clean, professional-quality work Good attention to detail and ability to meet production deadlines Must have a valid/current driver's license Must be authorized to work in the United States Must be dependable, professional, and able to work well with others English-speaking ability is preferred but not required Spanish-speaking candidates are encouraged to apply Travel Some travel may be requested, depending on the project. Local and occasional out-of-town work may be available. Compensation Pay is based on skill level and experience.
