Job Overview:

The Signage Shop Helper Trainee will assist in the day-to-day operations of a signage production facility. This role involves a variety of tasks, including preparing materials, assisting with design layout, helping with the fabrication and installation of signs, and maintaining a clean and organized work environment.

Key Responsibilities:

Material Preparation:

Help with the preparation of materials for signage production, including cutting, measuring, and assembling components.

Sign Fabrication:

Assist in creating signs by operating machinery, tools, and equipment(e.g., printers, routers, cutters).

Installation Support:

Help with the installation of signs at job sites, including mounting, securing, and setting up signage as needed.

Quality Control:

Ensure that signs meet quality standards by checking for accuracy, alignment, and overall finish.

Cleaning & Maintenance:

Keep the shop and workspace clean, organized, and well-maintained, including routine cleaning of tools and equipment.

Inventory Management:

Assist in tracking and organizing materials and supplies for signage production, ensuring inventory levels are maintained.

Safety Compliance:

Follow all safety guidelines and procedures while working with equipment and materials to prevent accidents and injuries.

Customer Service:

Assist customers with basic inquiries or provide support in communication between the shop and clients.

Skills & Qualifications:

Basic knowledge of sign-making tools, equipment, and materials is a plus but not required. Ability to follow instructions and work well in a team setting. Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain accuracy. Basic math skills for measuring and cutting materials. Ability to lift heavy materials and work in physically demanding environments. Good communication skills and customer service orientation. Ability to work efficiently and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.

Working Conditions:

Physically demanding, requiring the ability to lift, carry, and move materials. Will involve working with machinery, tools, and potentially hazardous materials. Work may take place both indoors (in the shop) and outdoors (at installation sites). This role is ideal for someone looking to gain hands-on experience in a creative and production driven environment! Must be flexible • Candidates must pass a drug screen and background check.
