What You'll Do:
Responsibilities of the Substitute Welding Instructor include, but are not limited to: Travel to our Lehi campus will be needed. Deliver hands-on lessons emphasizing skill-based competency training, ensuring students gain practical, real-world experience. Create and refine lesson plans integrating classroom instruction with hands-on lab activities. Demonstrate expert techniques in FCAW, GMAW, GTAW, and SMAW welding, as well as OFC, PAC, and CAC-A thermal cutting processes. Lead and inspire students by managing and supervising their progress both in the classroom and on the practical floor. Assess learning effectively through written, oral, practical, and performance-based evaluations. Foster a student-centered environment that promotes engagement, safety, and a positive learning atmosphere while ensuring daily equipment checks and proper maintenance. Maintain accurate records and reports on student attendance, performance, and accountability to support their success.
What We're Looking For:
Education Requirements:
A high school diploma or equivalent is required.
Experience:
Two or more years of hands-on welding experience.
Tests:
Must pass Qualification and SENSE written tests within six months of employment.
Certifications:
Must obtain the OSHA 10 Certification within six months of employment.
Knowledge:
