In this energetic role, you will be responsible for restoring, repairing, and customizing vehicle interiors with precision and passion. Your skills will help transform automotive spaces into comfortable, stylish, and functional environments that exceed customer expectations. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to develop your expertise in auto restoration while working in a fast-paced, collaborative setting. Duties Use hand tools, power tools, and sewing machines to cut, sew, and install upholstery materials such as fabric, leather, vinyl, and foam. Measure and prepare materials accurately to ensure a perfect fit for each vehicle interior component. Remove old upholstery and trim from vehicles with care to prevent damage to underlying surfaces. Assemble and secure new upholstery components using staples, adhesives, sewing techniques, and fasteners. Conduct detailed inspections of finished work to ensure quality standards are met and make adjustments as needed. Collaborate with team members on auto restoration projects to meet deadlines and maintain high craftsmanship standards. Maintain a clean and organized workspace, ensuring all tools are properly stored and safety protocols are followed. Skills Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, sewing machines, and other manufacturing equipment used in upholstery work. Strong sewing skills with the ability to operate various sewing machines efficiently. Experience in auto restoration or automotive manufacturing is highly desirable. Knowledge of assembly processes related to vehicle interior components. Ability to interpret measurements and technical drawings accurately. Excellent attention to detail combined with a passion for craftsmanship. Good physical stamina for standing, bending, lifting heavy materials, and working in various environments.
