Upholstery Specialist Full-Time | On-Site | Kenmore, WA | $22 - $32 per hour Kenmore Air is an iconic Pacific Northwest aviation company with nearly 80 years of history in seaplane operations, aircraft maintenance, and restoration. We are looking for an Upholstery Specialist who is eager to learn the craft of aircraft interior work in a hands-on, mentorship-driven environment. No prior aircraft experience is required, but a passion for quality work and attention to detail are a must. What You Will Do Work alongside our experienced head of upholstery to learn fabrication, repair, and installation of aircraft interior components including seats, headliners, side panels, and carpeting Assist with cutting, sewing, and fitting materials including leather, fabric, and vinyl Learn to read patterns and interpret basic engineering drawings Maintain a clean, organized workspace and properly handle tools and materials Support the broader maintenance and restoration team as needed What You Must Bring The ability to sew Genuine desire to learn a skilled trade and build a long-term career in aircraft interiors Tools and the skills to use them Strong attention to detail and pride in the quality of your work Ability to follow instructions and work well in a team environment Dependable, punctual, and safety-conscious Nice to Have Any prior experience in upholstery: aviation, marine, automotive, or furniture Vocational training in a related trade FAA Repairman s certificate Why Join Us At Kenmore Air you will learn your craft from experienced professionals in one of the most unique aviation environments in the country.
