Apply today to join our Upholstery team as a Marine Upholstery Technician. Do you enjoy working with your hands and seeing the results of your work at the end of the day? Are you someone who notices the details and takes pride in getting things just right? We're looking for a Marine Upholstery Technician to join our manufacturing team. In this hands-on role, you'll help create the seating and upholstered components that go into our boats. From fitting foam and fabric to stretching, pulling, stapling, and finishing each piece, your craftsmanship will have a direct impact on the look and quality of the finished product. Previous upholstery experience is a plus, but not required. If you're mechanically inclined, detail-oriented, dependable, and willing to learn, we'll provide on-the-job training. What You'll Do Build and assemble upholstered components for our boats. Work with fabric, vinyl, foam, wood, adhesives, hardware, and other materials. Fit, stretch, pull, glue, and staple materials to create a clean, consistent finished product. Inspect materials before starting and check your finished work for quality. Follow patterns, drawings, work instructions, and production specifications. Make adjustments or minor repairs when something doesn't meet our quality standards. Prepare completed pieces for installation on the boat. Work as part of a team to meet daily production goals. Keep your work area clean, organized, and safe. Follow safety procedures and wear required PPE. Help train and support other team members as you gain experience. Speak up when you see a quality or safety concern. Want to learn, grow, and become skilled in a specialized trade. Experience We're willing to train the right person. Previous experience in any of the following is helpful, but not required: Upholstery Furniture manufacturing Marine manufacturing Automotive trim or interiors Sewing or fabric work Assembly or production Other hands-on manufacturing or skilled trades Physical & Work Environment This is an active, hands-on manufacturing position. You'll regularly use your hands and wrists, stand or sit for extended periods, bend, reach, kneel, and perform repetitive movements.
You should be able to:
Lift, carry, push, and pull up to 30 pounds . Perform repetitive hand, wrist, and arm movements. Work with your hands on detailed components. Wear required personal protective equipment. Work around manufacturing equipment, dust, fumes, odors, adhesives, and other materials commonly found in a production environment. Work in a moderate to occasionally noisy manufacturing environment. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable qualified individuals to perform the essential functions of the position.
