This energetic role offers the opportunity to work closely with veterinarians, technicians, and pet owners to ensure the health and well-being of a diverse range of animals. Whether you're passionate about animal husbandry, skilled in animal handling, or eager to expand your veterinary experience, this position is designed to foster growth, teamwork, and a love for animals. Duties Assist veterinarians and veterinary technicians with clinical procedures, including animal restraint, medication administration, and sample collection. Provide compassionate pet care by monitoring animals' health status, feeding, grooming, and maintaining cleanliness in treatment areas. Support laboratory work by preparing samples, conducting basic tests, and maintaining accurate records. Ensure aseptic techniques are followed during procedures to prevent infection and maintain a sterile environment. Handle companion animals with confidence in animal handling techniques. Assist with specialized procedures such as animal catheterization or working with animals requiring critical care support. Qualifications Previous kennel experience or veterinary clinic experience is highly preferred. Strong knowledge of animal physiology, anatomy, and veterinary terminology is essential. Experience with animal restraint techniques and pet care practices is required. Ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail. Excellent communication skills for interacting with pet owners and team members. A proactive attitude toward learning new skills such as laboratory procedures or advanced animal care techniques. Pay:
$16.00 - $19.00 per hour
