Job Description

Job Overview Join our dynamic veterinary team as a Veterinary Assistant and Technician, where your passion for animal care and technical expertise will make a meaningful difference in the lives of pets and their owners. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to work in a fast-paced, compassionate environment, supporting veterinarians with clinical procedures, animal handling, and client communication. Your energetic approach and attention to detail will help ensure every animal receives the highest quality care while fostering a positive experience for clients. Duties Assist veterinarians with clinical procedures including animal restraint, catheterization, and laboratory testing to ensure smooth operations and accurate diagnostics Perform animal husbandry tasks such as feeding, grooming, pet care, and maintaining cleanliness in kennels and treatment areas Handle animals safely using proper restraint techniques, dog training skills, and animal handling experience to minimize stress and ensure safety for both animals and staff Operate laboratory equipment for diagnostic testing, including blood work or other samples, utilizing your laboratory experience Assist with pet care education for clients, and basic animal physiology knowledge to support overall wellness programs Requirements Experience in veterinary critical care settings or veterinary technician roles is highly desirable (at least 1 yr) Familiarity with veterinary terminology, X-ray operation, laboratory procedures, and aseptic techniques Ability to handle dogs and cats confidently. Excellent animal restraint skills along with understanding of veterinary procedures such as catheterization and sample collection Strong communication skills to collaborate effectively within a team environment and provide exceptional pet care education to clients This role is perfect for motivated individuals eager to grow their veterinary career while making a positive impact on animals' lives.
