Job Description

Veterinary Technician ( Experienced Required / Licensed Preferred ) This position is intended for highly skilled veterinary professionals who can confidently perform advanced technical duties, work independently, and contribute immediately to patient care. Licensed Veterinary Technicians are strongly preferred. Experienced veterinary assistants with extensive hands-on technical skills may also be considered. The expected manner of every team member is to maintain a professional demeanor at all times, utilize appropriate medical terminology, and support practice ownership, management, and fellow team members as needed. In this role, you will: Work closely with clients and their pets while delivering exceptional patient care Perform advanced technical skills confidently and efficiently Assist veterinarians with physical examinations, diagnostic procedures, treatments, anesthesia, surgery, dentistry, hospitalization, and emergency care Independently manage patient care tasks and prioritize multiple cases in a fast-paced environment Possess a strong working knowledge of veterinary pharmacology, anesthesia, nursing care, and laboratory diagnostics
Requirements:
Current Veterinary Technician license (LVT/CVT/RVT) strongly preferred Minimum of 3-5 years of veterinary technician experience required Candidates must possess advanced technical skills, including venipuncture, IV catheter placement, anesthesia monitoring, dental procedures, radiology, laboratory diagnostics, and patient nursing care Ability to work independently with minimal supervision Availability to participate in a rotation of weekends and holidays AVImark or DaySmart experience is a plus
