Veterinary Assistant/Receptionist

We are seeking a Veterinary Technician to join our team and provide superior service to our patients and our customers. The ideal candidate needs to be hard working and eager to learn. You will also need to be organized and clean keeping our kennels sanitized.

Responsibilities:

Provide and document a complete history of the pet's health, and any medications or treatments they have received.. Monitor the patient's condition by evaluating the animal's physical appearance, activity level, and the effectiveness of home treatments. Manage patient records through the computer system. Communicate with the veterinarian to relay important health information about pets. Manage emergency situations in the hospital setting. Qualifications Veterinary experience and knowledge of veterinary terminology Proficient in animal handling and pet care Experience in front desk operations and customer service Familiarity with medication administration and animal restraint techniques Knowledge of animal physiology and anatomy Previous experience in a veterinary clinic or as a veterinary assistant is preferred Additional skills in kennel care and animal husbandry are a plus

Pay:

$12.00 - $18.75 per hour
