Job Overview Join our dynamic team as a Kennel Technician and become a vital part of providing exceptional care for animals in our facility. In this energetic role, you will ensure the health, safety, and comfort of our furry residents while supporting the daily operations of the kennel. Your dedication will help create a positive environment where pets feel safe and loved, and pet owners can trust their animals are in capable hands. Duties Provide attentive pet care, including feeding, watering, and administering medications as directed by veterinary staff Maintain cleanliness of kennels, cages, and common areas to promote a hygienic environment for animals Handle dogs safely using proper animal restraint techniques and assist with dog training activities when needed Support veterinary technicians with basic animal handling and grooming tasks to ensure pets are comfortable and healthy Assist with pet sitting duties, including monitoring animals' behavior and providing enrichment activities Respond promptly to animal needs, ensuring their safety and comfort at all times Support customer service efforts by communicating effectively with pet owners about their pets' care and well-being Requirements Prior experience working with animals, particularly in veterinary clinics or kennels, is highly preferred Knowledge of dog handling, training, and basic pet grooming techniques Experience with veterinary procedures or as a veterinary technician assistant is a plus Ability to perform heavy lifting safely when handling large animals or supplies Strong animal handling skills with an understanding of animal restraint methods Excellent customer service skills to communicate effectively with pet owners and team members Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail and compassion for animals This role is perfect for motivated individuals passionate about animal care who thrive in active environments.
