Veterinary Assistant and Technician

Countryside Veterinary Hospital, located in Toney, Alabama—just minutes from Huntsville—is seeking a dedicated Veterinary Assistant or Veterinary Technician to join our growing team. Position Overview We are looking for a motivated individual with hands-on experience in a veterinary setting. While certification is preferred, it is not required for the right candidate with strong practical skills.

Key responsibilities include:

Assisting with patient care during appointments Drawing blood and running laboratory tests Placing intravenous catheters Monitoring anesthetized patients Supporting veterinarians and team members in daily clinical tasks Candidates must provide references and relevant work history. Schedule and Compensation This is a full-time position.

Scheduling includes:

Every other Saturday morning A weekend rotation (Saturday afternoon, Sunday morning, and Sunday afternoon) approximately once every eight weeks Compensation is hourly and based on experience.
