In this energetic role, you will support veterinarians and veterinary technicians by assisting with daily clinic operations, animal handling, and client communication. Your enthusiasm for animal welfare, combined with your technical skills, will help ensure our furry, feathered, and hoofed patients receive top-quality treatment in a compassionate environment. Duties Assist with animal restraint and handling to ensure safe and stress-free examinations and procedures Support veterinary technicians with medication administration, sample collection, and laboratory procedures Maintain cleanliness and aseptic techniques during surgical preparations and treatments Provide pet care and animal husbandry, including feeding, bathing, and grooming as needed Help manage front desk responsibilities such as client check-ins, appointment scheduling, and answering questions Support animal catheterization, injections, and other basic veterinary procedures under supervision Handle dog handling tasks and assist with equine care when applicable Maintain detailed records of animal treatments, medications administered, and laboratory results to ensure accuracy and compliance Experience Previous kennel experience or animal care background is highly desirable Experience working in a veterinary clinic or with veterinary technicians is preferred Knowledge of veterinary terminology, animal physiology, anatomy, and restraint techniques is essential Familiarity with laboratory procedures, aseptic techniques, and medication protocols enhances your effectiveness in this role Hands-on experience with pet care tasks such as grooming or feeding animals of various species is advantageous Strong animal handling skills across different species, including dogs and horses (equine experience), are beneficial Prior veterinary assistant or veterinary clinic experience will help you excel in supporting clinical operations Embark on a rewarding journey where your passion for animals meets professional growth!
