Your role will be vital in delivering high-quality veterinary services, ensuring animal comfort, and maintaining efficient clinic operations. Duties Assist in animal restraint and handling to ensure safety during examinations and procedures Prepare animals for surgery or diagnostic tests, including animal catheterization and aseptic techniques Perform laboratory tests such as blood work, urinalysis, and other diagnostic procedures to support veterinary diagnosis Maintain accurate records of pet care, treatments, and laboratory results with meticulous attention to detail Support dental procedures by understanding dental terminology and assisting with pet grooming and cleaning Operate X-ray equipment safely to capture diagnostic images while adhering to radiation safety protocols Provide pet care and animal husbandry, including feeding, bathing, and monitoring animal behavior for signs of distress or illness Skills Proven kennel experience with the ability to handle multiple animals confidently Strong knowledge of veterinary terminology, animal physiology, and anatomy Experience in veterinary critical care environments with an understanding of emergency protocols Laboratory experience including sample collection and processing techniques Equine experience or familiarity with horse handling is a plus but not required Excellent dog handling skills and animal restraint techniques to ensure safety for both animals and staff Knowledge of pet grooming practices and pet care routines to promote overall well-being Ability to perform animal catheterization, administer medications, and assist with diagnostic imaging such as X-ray procedures Familiarity with veterinary technician responsibilities and aseptic techniques used in clinical settings This role is designed for motivated individuals eager to expand their skills in a supportive environment dedicated to animal health.
