Job Overview Join our dynamic veterinary team as a Veterinary Assistant and become a vital part of providing compassionate, high-quality care to animals. In this energetic role, you will support veterinarians and veterinary technicians by assisting with animal handling, medical procedures, and client interactions. Responsibilities Assist with animal restraint and handling to ensure safety for both animals and staff during examinations and procedures Support veterinary technicians with medication administration, sample collection, and laboratory tasks Maintain cleanliness and aseptic techniques in treatment areas to prevent infection and ensure a sterile environment Help with pet care duties including feeding, grooming, and monitoring animal behavior for signs of distress or illness Manage front desk responsibilities such as scheduling appointments, answering client inquiries, and processing patient records Assist with animal husbandry tasks including cleaning kennels, cages, and treatment areas to uphold hygiene standards Support veterinary critical care efforts by monitoring vital signs and assisting during emergencies or surgeries Requirements Prior kennel experience or animal husbandry background preferred; experience in veterinary clinics is highly valued Knowledge of veterinary terminology, animal anatomy, physiology, and laboratory procedures Hands-on experience with animal restraint, dog handling, and pet care techniques Ability to perform medication administration accurately and follow aseptic protocols Familiarity with front desk operations including client communication and record keeping.
