Job Description

Veterinary Assistant Animal Birth Control of Tucson INC Tucson, AZ 85711 Posted about 4 hours New ABC Vaccination Clinic is seeking a friendly, reliable, and hardworking Veterinary Assistant to join our fast-paced walk-in wellness clinic team. This position is ideal for someone passionate about animal care who enjoys working with people and pets in a high-volume environment.
Responsibilities:
Assist veterinarians and veterinary technicians with routine wellness services. Safely restrain dogs and cats for examinations, vaccinations, nail trims, blood draws, and other procedures. Prepare vaccines, medical supplies, and exam areas. Maintain accurate medical records and client information. Educate clients on vaccines, parasite prevention, microchipping, and basic pet wellness. Clean and disinfect exam rooms and equipment. Monitor inventory and restock supplies as needed. Assist with patient intake, weighing pets, and obtaining medical histories. Provide compassionate care to pets while ensuring a positive client experience. Maintain a clean, organized, and professional clinic environment.
Qualifications:
Previous veterinary assistant, kennel, animal shelter, grooming, or animal handling experience preferred. Ability to safely handle dogs and cats of all sizes and temperaments. Excellent communication and customer service skills. Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment. Comfortable standing for extended periods and lifting up to 50 pounds. Dependable, punctual, and team-oriented. High school diploma or equivalent required.
Preferred Skills:
Experience with vaccine clinics or wellness care. Knowledge of vaccine protocols and parasite prevention products. Experience using veterinary software and electronic medical records. Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus.

Schedule:
