Veterinary Surgery Coordinator & Doctor Assistant

We're seeking a skilled, motivated Surgery Coordinator/Doctor Assistant who thrives in a fast-paced specialty surgery environment and is passionate about delivering gold-standard patient care.

What We're Looking For Required:

2+ years in veterinary medicine (Surgery or Specialty preferred) Strong organization, multitasking, and attention to detail Excellent communication and teamwork skills Ability to stay calm and professional in a fast-paced environment Positive, solutions-oriented mindset

Preferred:

Experience in surgery coordination or specialty practice Familiarity with ezyVet and SmartFlow Knowledge of surgical procedures and terminology Responsibilities Coordinate surgical appointments, procedures, and rechecks Actively manage case progression, ensuring diagnostics, treatments, and procedures are initiated in a timely manner Serve as a primary point of contact for clients regarding surgical cases Prepare and review estimates, treatment plans, and invoices Assist doctors with medical records, documentation, and case management Ensure all charges are accurate and finalized prior to discharge Communicate pre-op and post-op instructions clearly to clients Support patient discharge process, including at-home care instructions Work closely with technicians and CSRs to maintain workflow efficiency Maintain accurate and detailed medical records (ezyVet experience a plus) Anticipate scheduling conflicts or delays and proactively adjust plans to minimize disruption About us We are professional, innovative, collaborative team and our goal is to improve the client/patient experience by providing compassionate care with the highest standards of medicine.
