Duties:

Veterinarian & Technician Assistant / Cat Care Assist veterinarians and technicians with examinations and procedures by handling cats using Cat-Friendly techniques. We are a 'no-scruffing' practice. Scribe physical exam notes Administer vaccinations and injectable as well as oral medications. Prepare dental and surgical suites, set up equipment, and sterilize instruments. Operate Idexx analyzers to run in-house labs. Maintain all areas of the clinic, as well as instruments and patient care items, in a clean and welcoming state (basically lots of vacuuming, laundry, mopping, and disinfecting of surfaces).

Duties:

Client Service Respond promptly and accurately to client inquiries via phone, email, or in-person. Follow up on appointments and seamlessly assist clients with details such as prescription refills and referrals. Handle payments, estimates and medical records. Client education regarding husbandry, nutrition, vaccine protocols and medications. Maintain a positive and professional demeanor while interacting with clients and their cats. Carry cats to and from their vehicles as needed.

Duties:

Miscellaneous Assist with inventory tracking and ordering of supplies. Create, maintain and edit SOPs. Qualifications Must be a nice person. Must love working with cats and their humans. Previous experience in a veterinary practice or animal shelter preferred. Must have excellent spelling, grammar, and critical reading skills in English. Administrative skills such as phone etiquette and maintenance of written records. Because we rely on electronic medical records and data repositories, we need someone who can quickly become adept with various computerized systems. Excellent communication skills with the ability to convey information clearly and effectively. Must be proactive, attentive, and organized. Ability to carry a cat in a carrier (up to 35 lbs) up and down two steps and to/from the client's vehicle. Ability to work well in a team environment while also being self-motivated. Growth mindset!
