Vet Assistant/Receptionist

```Duties```

• Greet and welcome clients and visitors in a friendly and professional manner
• Answer phone calls, take messages, and direct calls to the appropriate staff members
• Schedule appointments and maintain the appointment calendar
• Assist with administrative tasks such as filing, data entry, and organizing documents
• Provide general support to the office staff and assist with various projects as needed
• Maintain a clean and organized reception area ```Skills```
• Equine knowledge and experience preferred
• Familiarity with aseptic technique in a veterinary setting
• Knowledge of pet care and handling techniques
• Experience working in a kennel or animal care facility
• Understanding of veterinary critical care procedures
• Proficiency as a veterinary assistant, including animal restraint and basic medical procedures
• Knowledge of animal physiology and anatomy
• Ability to perform animal catheterization under supervision
• Strong animal husbandry skills Please note that while these skills are preferred, we are willing to train the right candidate who demonstrates a strong willingness to learn and grow in this role.
