Veterinary Assistant

VCA Chatsworth Veterinary Center is seeking an experienced Veterinary Assistant to join our busy, AAHA-accredited general practice in Chatsworth, California.

Schedule:

Full-Time, 8 am to 4 pm

Salary:

$18 - $27 per hour In this position, you will be supporting our Doctors and Technician team by creating a positive, low-stress atmosphere for our clients and patients. Skills you will be utilizing include, but are not limited to: Patient Assessment Completing patient treatments promptly Venipuncture & IV Catheter placement Radiology Pharmacy Surgical Preparation Anesthetic Monitoring Dentistry Patient Recovery Maintaining electronic medical records with accurate & detailed data Client communication & education Providing compassionate care and a home away from home for all pets in the hospital Hospital maintenance (including removal of animal waste) and ensuring the hospital is neat and clean at all times At VCA, your passion for medicine and compassion for pets and people is matched with a commitment to your professional growth.
