Job Description We are looking for an experienced Veterinary Assistant or Registered Veterinary Technician to provide ancillary medical support to the veterinarian(s) on staff. Qualifications At least 2 years of experience as a veterinary assistant or RVT licensed in the State of California If RVT, experience performing dental extractions a plus Interest in practice management (e.g. inventory, social media, marketing campaigns, team building, staff scheduling, drafting SOPs, administrative assisting, auditing SOAP notes, etc.) is highly desirable High school diploma or equivalent required Must be proficient at handling dogs & cats in a safe manner for the patient, themselves, & people around them Minimally, must be able to check-in rooms, take vitals, effectively restrain patients, administer injections, draw blood, place IV catheters, monitor anesthesia, scale and polish teeth, operate equipment, & educate clients. Detail-oriented Has pride/ownership in their personal service and care towards clients and pets Good communicator Respectful & empathetic towards other team members. Emotionally mature & confident.
