Veterinary Assistant (VA) - Join Our Growing Team! Part-Time or Full-Time | Cotati, CA | 10-Hour Shifts | Scrub Allowance | CE Included Animal Hospital of Cotati and Rohnert Park is a newly established, and rapidly growing veterinary practice seeking an experienced Veterinary Assistant to complete our team. We are focused on providing compassionate, high-quality care to the pets in our community. What We're Looking For:

An experienced Vet Assistant with a positive attitude and strong work ethic. Someone who thrives in a collaborative environment and believes in giving the best care possible to every patient. A great communicator who enjoys building relationships with clients and team members.

Key Responsibilities:

Patient & Surgical Support:

Safely restrain animals during exams, diagnostics, and treatments. Prepare patients and equipment for surgery, assist during procedures, and monitor animals during post-operative recovery.

Clinical Hygiene:

Clean, disinfect, and sterilize exam rooms, surgical areas, kennels, and equipment to maintain strict infection and biohazard control.

Pharmacy & Records:

Accurately log patient data, treatments, and clinical observations. Fill and label prescriptions under direct veterinary supervision.

Client & Team Communication:

Deliver clear discharge instructions, answer routine client questions, and participate in team meetings.

Clinic Workflow Coordination:

Proactively assist patient movement between check-in, exam rooms, diagnostics, and surgery to maximize clinic efficiency

Protocol Compliance:

Follow all hospital safety and animal-handling regulations, maintaining a calm and professional demeanor during high-pressure or emergency situations.

Schedule:

Must be available on Weekends Afternoon Shifts available

$16.90 - $20.00 per hour
