We are focused on providing compassionate, high-quality care to the pets in our community while ensuring pet parents across the country receive their online orders accurately and on time. Position Summary We are seeking a proactive, dual-role Veterinary Assistant & Fulfillment Associate to serve as a key player in our growing Cotati team. This in-person position is perfect for a detail-oriented go-getter who manages their time well, thrives in a collaborative environment, and takes pride in delivering exceptional pet care and consistent order execution. You will split your time between providing high-quality clinical support to our patients and managing our e-commerce order fulfillment to clear our daily 4:00 PM shipping cutoff, followed by evening clinic tasks and ongoing patient care.

Key Responsibilities Veterinary Assistant Duties Patient & Surgical Support:

Safely restrain animals during exams, diagnostics, and treatments. Prepare patients and equipment for surgery, assist during procedures, and monitor animals during post-operative recovery.

Clinical Hygiene:

Clean, disinfect, and sterilize exam rooms, surgical areas, kennels, and equipment to maintain strict infection and biohazard control.

Pharmacy & Records:

Accurately log patient data, treatments, and clinical observations. Fill and label prescriptions under direct veterinary supervision.

Client & Team Communication:

Deliver clear discharge instructions, answer routine client questions, and communicate effectively with clients and team members. Occasional reception duties may be required.

Clinic Workflow & Protocol Compliance:

Proactively assist patient movement between check-in, exam rooms, diagnostics, and surgery while strictly following all hospital safety and animal-handling regulations.

Fulfillment Duties Order Fulfillment:

Pick, pack, and ship customer orders generated through Shopify and Amazon with accuracy.

Shipping Logistics:

Generate and print shipping labels accurately; ensure all packages are securely packed for transit to reach customers on time.

Time Management:

Coordinate daily tasks to ensure all outbound shipments meet the 4:00 PM daily mail deadline.

Inventory Management:

Help maintain an organized fulfillment space by counting, adding, and organizing new stock as it arrives.

Fulfillment Upkeep:

Maintain a clean, safe, and efficient workspace to streamline daily operations.

Qualifications & Requirements Experience:

Vet Assistant with a positive attitude, strong work ethic, and a belief in giving the best care possible to every patient.

Availability:

Must be available to work consistent afternoon, and weekend shifts.

Proactive & Independent:

A reliable go-getter who works independently, manages time effectively, and takes full responsibility for meeting daily shipping deadlines.

Physical Ability:

Must be able to comfortably lift and move boxes and clinic supplies weighing up to 70 lbs, and handle active physical tasks across both clinic and fulfillment areas.

Detail-Oriented:

High level of accuracy in both logging patient medical data and picking items to ensure pets get exactly what their owners ordered.

Tech-Savvy:

Familiarity with Amazon Seller Central and Shopify is a major plus, along with our clinic management software, Idexx Neo.

Shipping Knowledge:

Understanding of how to generate shipping labels and determine the best packing methods for various products.

Communication:
