Job Description
About us Blue Ravine Animal Hospital is a privately held small animal practice with a special interest in brachycephalics. Join us and learn about managing these challenging cases! We enjoy working together to help our patients live better lives. Skilled Veterinary Technician/Assistant needed for our busy and growing small animal hospital in Folsom, CA. We are a beautiful seven doctor practice open six days per week to better serve our community. We need additional veterinary technicians/assistants to support the team caring for our wonderful patients and clients. Our technicians/assistants are utilized to their fullest potential and work in all areas of the hospital. We provide a challenging and supportive environment which practices excellent quality medicine and even better patient and client care. Some weekend time would be required. Skills required but not limited to: patient handling, customer service, medication preparation/administration, phlebotomy, radiography, dental prophylaxis, surgical nursing and anesthesia monitoring, and patient charting. Job Types:
Full-time, Part-time Responsibilities Provide compassionate care to animals, ensuring their comfort and well-being during examinations and treatments. Assist veterinarians with patient assessments, including taking vital signs and performing physical examinations. Handle and restrain animals safely during procedures, utilizing appropriate techniques to minimize stress. Administer medications and vaccinations as directed, and monitor patients for any adverse reactions. Maintain accurate medical records and documentation of patient care, treatments, and observations. Educate pet owners on proper animal care and health management practices.Job Types:
